400;\">Gender discrimination is against the law in California. Gender discrimination is a violation of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dir.ca.gov\/dlse\/California_Equal_Pay_Act.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">California Fair Pay Act<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for decades now, the California Equal Pay Act has prohibited an employer from paying its employees less than employees of the opposite sex for equal work.<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"auto\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The California Family Rights Act (CFRA) requires employers of 5 or more employees to provide an eligible employee with job-protected leave to care for a child, spouse, domestic partner, parent, grandparent, grandchild, or sibling with a serious health condition, and for the employee\u2019s own serious health condition.
